I have a long experience with the professional audio industry. Many years ago, I helped modernise production for Soundcraft Electronics (with Audio Precision gear), and then at Philip Drake Electronics (now part of Clearcom), I built systems for several BBC studios. Later I did a lot of freelance design work for Royal Opera House in Covent Garden.
Although I’ve since moved into more general fields, I still do audio. My experience of computer networking and software plays well with that, now that Audio over IP (AoIP) is commonplace.
I have recently completed several of Audinate’s training courses on their Dante product range, and also am actively researching offerings from other manufacturers.
I am also well equipped to repair, restore, modify or design traditional analogue hardware – a hybrid of old and new.
More info my work in audio is at my sister site McBee Audio Labs.
